The Great Recession hasn’t just resulted in economic turmoil – it’s also made Triangle employees work harder.
Triangle Business Journal, in a recent unscientific online poll, asked readers if their job has gotten harder in the last five years.
A total of 67 percent of the 416 respondents said they are “absolutely” working harder than ever. Another 13 percent replied that they were working a little bit harder. Seven percent said they were working about as hard as they always had – the same percentage that replied that they had lost their job...
IDEA Fund Partners, a Durham-based venture capital firm, has invested $400,000 in Virginia-based Distil.
The money will allow the cloud-based content protection network company to accelerate its product development and expand sales and marketing efforts.
Along with the fund, IDEA Fund Partners General Partner Lister Delgado will join the Distil board.

Some investors saw cause for concern in Deere’s first quarter earnings report last week, and the stock has slumped recently as a result.
But a stock watcher at investor site Seeking Alpha thinks Deere has a bright future over the long haul because of a strong reinvestment blueprint, which includes building new factories and modernizing existing ones. Check out the article here to see if you agree with that thesis.
